On the road again back Down Under....60 years here I come!

Tanya and I had our coffee then headed out for a walk to the beach. We walked to North Burleigh lookout, it’s a great spot to view Surfer’s Paradisee
comtinued walking on the beach to the other side
Met a wonderful couple.... Bill and Teresa Perry. Bill and Tanya have been friends for about 41 years. They were looking at one of the condos up for sale in her complex.
We all went to lunch at the North Burleigh Surf Club.
After lunch, we said our good byes to Bill and Teresa and wandered back to the condo. Spent a quiet afternoon chatting and relaxing on the balcony. We then headed out to see the stores in James Street.
This guy welcomed us back from our walk....Mr. Water Dragon
I forgot to post this from our walk on the beach last afternoon....a Bottle Neck stinger. I was just in the water a few minutes before we saw them being washed up on the shore. They pop when you step on them.

We had tea and coffee, got packed and headed back to Brisbane. On the way to breakfast in Sanctuary Cove, we stopped in to meet her parents.... so adorable and so very, very friendly.

We stopped to see Sarah and her children (Tanya’s daughter) and then Jess (Tanya’s future daughter in law)and cute little Milo.
Deanna and Gary picked us up and we headed up Mt. Gravatt. Mount Gravatt hill was named in 1840 after Lieutenant George Gravatt who was the commander of the Moreton Bay Settlement for two months in 1839.

Had a delish Thai dinner with lots of laughs.
I cannot believe my time here with Tanya is over already. Before coming here I was a tad bit nervous of spending 4 nights with someone I had never met...... I know that I have made a friend for life. She let me into her life, met her good friends, shared many laughs and also some sad moments. Not only are we good friends, we share a special bond.....a bond that no one can understand.
Tanya, thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and your friendship. See you in Canada....it’s your turn to visit me!
