Don’t you hate it when you wake up every hours because you’re afraid of sleeping in? Well, that’s what happened to me last night. Ugh!!

Melbourne has a Skybus that will take you into the city ... Southern Cross Station. I stored my backpack in a locker and headed off to catch the free trams that run in the free zone.

Federation Square is home to major cultural attractions, world-class events, tourism experiences and many restaurants, bars and specialty stores. It is Melbourne's meeting place - a local hang-out and one of Victoria's most popular tourist attractions. I stopped for tea and a mid morning snack....I ordered a “smashed avocado”.

Armed with my maps from the Information Centre I headed off to explore. Melbourne’s street art is internationally renowned and offers energy, ideas, and colour around town. It has become an attraction for local and overseas visitors. Melbourne’s laneways weave through the city and have revitalised the city with street art, bustling cafes and bars.

Stopped in and lit a candle at St. Paul’s Cathedral... it’s an Anglican Church.

The skies opened up on my way to Queen Victoria Market. I was soaked!

Queen Victoria Market occupies two city block. The market was established in the late 1860s to serve as both a wholesale and retail market for the rapidly growing population of the city of Melbourne. The centrally located Queen Victoria Market replaced a number of smaller markets situated in different parts of the city. You can buy anything here!

My flight to Hobart, Tasmania left tonight at 6:20 pm so I made my way back to the airport. Once I arrived, I headed out of ther terminal and bought a bus ticket into Hobart. The bus started to leave and I realized that I forgot to get my backpack! The bus driver was kind enough to go back. I was so focused on getting a bus ticket that I totally forgot my luggage.

Arrived at my air bnb only to find out that it’s a back packer hotel..... it’s a bit shady and not quite up to my regular standards. I keep telling myself it’s only for one night....I pick up my camper van tomorrow morning. It’s been a long day of travelling and sight seeing!
