March 5
Decided that after yesterdays activities, I was going to take a day of rest. Had a leisurely breakfast with an amazing view…

I was a pile of mush after my half hour Balinese massage (included with my stay). Then I hit the pool for an hour or so.

It was time to head to town to meet AJ. He was taking me visit the Tranquil Rice Fields and grab a snack and later I was attending a sound bath healing class at the Yoga Barn. I used Ubud’s ride sharing app call GoJek. I tried numerous times to find a ride but they all declined as my hotel is too far into the rainforest. Not one to give up, I kept trying. Finally, got a car to come pick me up. As I was heading to my destination in my GoJec car, I get another message that another car was also coming. I tried to cancel, but the app wouldn’t let me. The second driver was not happy as I could not cancel my second request. Apparently, I now have a bad review!

Small boutique hotels and Airbnb can be found amongst Tranquil Rice Field. Accommodation are not directly accessible by car and requires either a pick up by scooter or a pleasant 700 meter walk.

This narrow walk is actually a two way road. Suitcases can be seen strapped to scooters dodging oncoming scooters and pedestrians.

These rice fields are owned and worked by families.

Had lunch at a beautiful restaurant with a calming view of a rice field.

My day ended with a 1.5 hour sound healing class at the Yoga Barn. It was fabulous and so relaxing!
