Long way to Lombok

Had an early start today.

I had a car pick me up at 5:30 am to get me to Padangbai for the fast ferry. Picked up a few more people for the trip to Padangbai. I was originally scheduled for the 9 am fast ferry Padangbai to Senggigi, however that ferry was changed to 11:30 am bringing me into Senggigi around 2:30. My other choice was to take the 9:00 am fast ferry from Padangbai to Bangsal, this ferry stops at Gili Trawangan, then Gili Meno, Gili Air and finally Bangsal…..bringing me in around 11:30 am. I chose the 9:00 am with all the stops.

The ferry was packed! Couldn’t go on deck until the boat was underway.

Spent the whole 2 plus hours up on the deck.

First stop….Gili Trawangan. People getting off and more, people getting on.

Could not stop staring at the new high heel crocs! Sorry!

Next stops ….Gili Meno then Gili Air. Both were high seas transfer!
Lombok was the next stop?.

Found my ride….or did I? Apparently, I jumped into the wrong hotel vehicle. My driver’s name was Yogis, I asked the driver if his name was Yogi, he nodded so I jumped in. He drove a ways and asked “How are you today Ms Wei?” I said my last name is “Chow”. He pulled over and called the other driver….waited it,, my driver came to get me then headed back to get Ms. Wei!

I got upgraded to an ocean view bungalow… it’s beautiful! The bathroom, closets and coffee/tea area is behind the wooden wall. I’m feeling very privileged and special this week.

Had dinner at the resort restaurant. It was a stunning sunset! A great end to a wonderful day!
