March 25
Got the hotel bike at 5:45 am to head to Sanur beach to watch the sunrise.
As I watched the sunrise this morning, I thought about my dad. He would have been 99 years old today. My dad was a gentle man that loved his family. You would find him on all fours with all his grandchildren climbing all over him. I am so thankful to have had him in my life. Miss you Pap!

Sanur’s beach walk is 5.9 km long with lots of hotels, restaurants and stores along the way. After the sunrise, I just kept riding for about 1.5 hours.
Stopped on the way back for breakfast. The walkway is very busy with pedestrians and bike riders of all capabilities. I had a few tense moments! Why do people just stop in the middle?
Spent a few hours poolside….relaxing! Hotel pics
Walked down Main Street to grab a snack…. Tiramisu and chocolate ice cream!
Grabbed the bike again and headed to Sindhu Night Market for dinner but changed my mind about getting food from there.
March 26
The walkway was very busy this morning because it’s Sunday. Lots of local families out early before it gets too warm.
My breakfast view
Tourists heading out on the excursion
Decided to head to the Sukawati Art Market to see if I could find a Smiling Buddah with a nice face (some of them are pretty ugly).
Got a Gojec scooter….and yes this time I wore a helmet but I didn’t video it because the road was very busy!
I didn’t stay too long because the sellers really pressure you to buy. Spent the rest of the day at the pool.
I met AJ (remember him) and his lady, Elena for dinner. They picked me up at the hotel and we went to Jimbaran beach for dinner. Jimbaran beach is known for seafood. It’s the centre for Bali’s fishermen and home to the island’s biggest fish market.
We had to go to the back to order our dinner….
Great evening with new friends!
