Talkeetna to Anchorage

June 9
Headed out of the park in search of the perfect view of Denali peak.

We stopped at a river to see if there was any fish, we ran into two men who were Fairbanks. They were very helpful with fish information.

They told us that Talkeetna was a neat town and we should stop to see it. So we decided to stay the night. It was another night of no water or electricity. But what a cool town! There was a farmers market, which we missed. Music in the park. We ate at Homestead Kitchen.

June 10
Had breakfast in Talkeetna and made our way to Anchorage. We made a stop at the Iditarod Trail Headquarter in Wasilla. We met a young man that rad the race for 10 years. He had his dogs with him and he took me for a sled (with wheels).

Walked around downtown Anchorage. Headed over to the river to watch people fishing. Didn’t see anyone catch anything.

We walked the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. It’s an 11 mile long trail, we didn’t walk the whole thing.
