Whitehorse Round 2

June 18
On the road by 8:30 am headed to Whitehorse. It was a long slow drive. There was loads of highway work and gravel roads.

We saw lots of vehicles upside down or on its side along the highway.

We stopped at a lookout above Pelly Crossing and met Gary from Gatineau, Quebec. He’s heading to Alaska and has been on the road for 2 weeks.

Arrived for the night at the Hot Springs Campground across from the Eclispe Hot Springs. The power went out while we were in the steam room. So we headed by to the hot pool only to be told that we may be asked to leave depending on when the power would be restored. Seeing we were there for 3 hours we decided to leave and make dinner.

June 19
Heading to Whitehorse in hopes of getting in to a glass blowing class. Lumel Studios had a half hour opening at 10 tomorrow! Yeah! We had breakfast and headed to Walmart pick up a few things.

Went to the Whitehorse Ladder Hatchery and Yukon Energy for a tour.

Checked into the same campground we stayed at the first time and headed out to fish along the Yukon river. Unsuccessful again!

Walked down around the stores downtown.

Guess who we ran into….Nick and Yana again! They got into Whitehorse last night.
