Seeing the sights in Ubud

Today we headed out with a private driver to see the sights of Bali. First stop was the Ceking rice terrace. Ceking rice fields are located on the highland area with uneven land contours. The rice fields is said to have been in existence since the 9th century.
Next stop……Tirta Empul, The Holy Spring Temple. Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple. It is considered one of the five most holy temples in all of Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources in Bali.
We headed off to Gunung Kwai, The Rocky Temple. Gunung Kawi Temple is a collection of beautiful temples located in a river valley surrounded by rice fields and forests. This Temple is a collection of ten temples and is designed to provide a place to live for the souls of ancient kings. The temple is carved into the valley walls on both sides of the Pekerisan River. On the east side of the river are five temples, Cross the bridge between the four temples on the west side.
Stopped into the coffee plantation. Luwak Coffee or civet coffee is a coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract.

Stop for lunch and a view of Mt. Batur and Lake Batur. Our driver took us to the Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant for lunch. Kintamani is a village within that district, on the western edge of the larger caldera wall of the Mount Batur caldera.
Last stop….Goa Galahad, The Elephant Cave Temple. It is believed to have been built as a place for spiritual meditation and contains both Hindu and Buddhist temples.
Tonight is our last night in Ubud. Tomorrow we head off to Nusa Penida.
