Can there be two Sunshine Coasts?

Off early to the Sunshine Coast, through rush hour. I stopped at Glass House Mountain to do a hike. The lovely lady gave me a list of hikes I should do. She suggested I should start with Mt Ngungun (pronounced GunGun). She said it was a 2 hour (round trip) hike and the views were amazing. It was only 8:30 am (figured I had loads of time) and of course anything for a view..... I headed off to the top of Mt. Ngungun. It only took me about half an hour to get to the top. By the time I got up there, it was cloudy (was sunny when I started), you could actually see the rain coming to the area. I sat at the top for about half hour, enjoying the solitude before I headed back down. As I staeted down, the rain hit hard. I slipped on the wet rocks and scrapped my knee (all bruised up now).
I limped my way back to Casa Mighty, cold and wet. I decided then that I was done with hiking.... Put the list and all the instructions I got into ex garbage. Thought about going to the zoo (Steve Irwin Zoo), decided against that too. Kept driving out towards the Sunshine Coast. As I got closer to the coast, the sun began to shine, this made me feel a bit better! I decided to stay in at Mooloolaba (a beautiful beach town). The waterfront is full of cafes and restaurants, and cute little boutiques. Got settled and wandered off (after I cleaned my knee up). I spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach, in the hot sunshine.
After dinner, I sat at Starbucks and enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing to shore, the ocean breeze, and watching all the transient people performing on the beach.

Today is what I call a beach day.... I see how many beaches I can stop and see (walk it, swim in it). The Sunshine Coast is made up of many beautiful beaches starting at Caloundra, which I didn't stop at because I was climbing a mountain yesterday. So I left Mooloolaba at 7:00 am with the intention of stopping at all (or as many as I could). First beach was Maroochydore .... I did my early morning walk, about an hour of this beautiful beach.
The next beach is Coolum
Then Peregian beach
Then Sunrise beach, I couldn't get down to the beach.
Then Sunshine beach
And finally Noosa Main Beach, it was pretty busy today
I did a walk around Noosa National Park and came across the Boiling Pot and Little Cove
My site is on the Noosa River. I made some new friends, they really weren't too friendly. They just sat and stared at me with one goofy eye.
I sat and had dinner as I watched a Noosa sunset and some police men paddling in outriggers (this is for you Alison)
I am at the half way point in my adventure and I'm really missing my bed, my friends, and most of all my kids and my dog.
Love reading your blog and seeing all your photos. Sound like you are have an amazing holiday, full of adventures and exciting challenges! I'm sure you are missing all your loved ones as they are missing you! Half way there, you will be hugging everyone soon! Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your adventure! I'm in awe!
