It's 6:15 am and I'm sitting poolside enjoying the beautiful sunrise.
Had breakfast and waited for the bus to go to Port Denarau. Everyone that anyone was at Port Denarau this morning. It was a zoo! It's the place were you get the ferry.
Checked in, boarded the Cougar II (some people would say that name was quite fitting). First island we stopped to let people out was South Sea Island,
then Bounty Island,
and finally Beachcomber Island.
A smaller tender meets brings the people leaving the island to the ferry and then picks up the new arrivals. Luggage is unloaded and loaded (actually they throw your luggage).
These islands only houses one resort. This is it! There is a beach (you can walk around the whole island in about 20 - 30 minutes), a bar, the reception hall (where you eat your meals). You can rent snorkels, kayaks, jet skis, go parasailing for a fee. There are other activities like volleyball, making a coconut cup or bracelet, and an evening show. There are no TVs, no phones, no banks or ATMs. It's simple!
The welcoming committee. Bula! Means Hi. They say it all the time
I have a ocean view. I can hear the waves on the shore, it's so relaxing.
Got settled in and headed for the beach. What a relaxing day.... I read, I swam, and I walked around Beachcomber Island (only took me 25 mins).
I watched another beautiful sunset tonight.
Spent a nice evening sitting at the bar listening to some very nice music (really made me feel like dancing). Had dinner and called it an early evening.
P.S., As I sit in bed writing this blog, listening to the waves coming into the shore, it's so relaxing.

Happy 2nd Birthday Aria!!!
Had a wonderful morning... sat on the beach and read till breakfast time. Headed out on my sailing tour. We were taken out by tender to meet the ferry. The ferry took us to the sailboat. Once on the boat, the crew brought out their guitars and ukulele and sang all the way to our destination.
We visited the island where The Castaway was filmed (Tom Hanks movie) and snorkelled off the beach.
After snorkelling, we had lunch back on the boat and then visited a Fijiann village. We sang all the way back to the ferry.
Back on Beachcomber Island, there was a hula and fire dance show. It was a great day!
Lovely to see the sun and sand. We are also heading home, Lima today....Vancouver tomorrow.
Can´t wait to see you.
Love J&S
