On the road again..... Southeast Asia here I come

I got a call from my son, Bradley, about three weeks ago. He told me he had a weeks holiday and wanted to go somewhere. I asked him where and he said Vietnam. SO..... Bradley and I leave this Saturday for Vietnam. We will spend the first week together. I will then continue on my own.... One more week in Vietnam, 2 weeks in Thailand, and one final week in Hong Kong.

This trip has me very apprehensive for many reasons. Different language and culture, travelling will be different. Also, I didn't have 6 months to plan this trip (being the control freak that I am). I've spent the last few days making lists and picking up any last minute things I may need (packing very light). I will be taking only a knapsack, this means I cannot take my hair dryer and those high heeled shoes will definitely have to stay home. However, I will still take my makeup!
