It's a beautiful day to fly. The sun is shining and I'm stocked up with junk food.

It's an 11.5 hour flight to Beijing, a 4.5 hour lay over, then another 5 hours to Ho Chi Min City. So we start our waiting..... And the wine gums are opened already!

Arrived in Beijing early. Grabbed something to eat. Bradley got a black egg with his rice. Would you eat this?

While going through Chinese customs, we encountered a family in front of us with a cart full of carryons. We patiently waited as their items went through the scanner. Custom guards were searching everthing of theirs. Well they found a rice cooker (complete with food), 6 meat cleavers and matching kitchen knives. Anything goes here in China!

We have arrive in Ho Chi Min City. It's now 2:30 am, Monday, February 8. On the way to our hotel we saw scooters galore and people out celebrating the Lunar New Year. We are checked in to our hotel.

The room is quiet with only the sound of Brad sleeping and the occasional thump from the fridge. Tomorrow is a short day of exploring as we fly off to Nah Trang for a few days on the beach.
